Adam O'Neill works in cryptography. One thread is outsourced-database protocols that hide as much as possible from an untrusted server while still allowing queries (searchable encryption). Another is the design and analysis of real-world protocols in the random-oracle model. He is affiliated with the UMass AI Security Lab and the Cybersecurity Institute.
Adam O'Neill is an Assistant Professor in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department at Georgetown University. He also held a visiting faculty position in the Cryptographic Technology Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He is affiliated with the UMass AI Security Lab.
Professor O'Neill was selected as a scholar by the Achievement Rewards for College Scientists Foundation from 2008-2010.
