Cybersecurity Institute Hosts New England Security Day

The Cybersecurity Institute hosted the New England Security Day (NESD) conference on 3/27/26.  NESD is a one-day event to highlight security research and applied work from New England universities, labs, and industry teams. The event included a keynote and lightning talks across systems, AI safety, and cryptography, student spotlights showcasing emerging projects, and posters for in-depth discussion. NESD is an opportunity to share the latest advances, debate roadmaps and future directions, create new collaborations, and explore new opportunities. First convened at UMass Amherst in 2015, NESD has been hosted by several New England universities over the past decade -- and this year it returned to UMass Amherst!  NESD will next be held at Tufts University and then Brown University.
