Professor Levine will introduce some of the amazing security, privacy, and forensics research performed by professors and students at UMass Amherst. He will provide a high-level tour of topics such as digital forensics for rescuing children from harm, differential privacy as used by the US census, and safe machine learning that identifies biases and avoids harm.
His talk will also highlight undergraduate computer science programs, courses, and scholarships, especially in security, and talk about transferring to UMass. He will also discuss the Scholarship for Service (SFS) program, which provides a "full-ride" and a salary for two years.
