Cybersecurity Awareness Month

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will host its first Cybersecurity Week from October 15th through October 18th.  Held during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Commonwealth wants to educate on key issues and combat the threats of cyber attacks.  UMass Amherst's Cybersecurity Institute will promote cybersecurity awareness with several events planned throughout the month.

In mid-October, Professor Brian Levine will travel with a group of Scholarship for Service students to Washington, D.C.  Students will spend the day working with a group of cyber experts, including special agents from the FBI.

The Institute will host several cyber professionals during the month.  All talks will be on Tuesdays at 2:30 P.M. and take place in CS151.
